Sussex 4×4 Reponse has a long association with Mud Monsters and have marshalled the car parking for Mud Monsters run for a number of years.
Mud Monsters run is an award winning charity cross-country running event attended by thousands each year.
It’s no secret that the weather of Autumn 2019 has been especially wet, the organisers took the additional step of deploying a steel panelled temporary road to improve access to and from the car-park.
On the 20th October 2019 an intrepid crew of around 10 of Sussex 4×4 Response’s experienced members accompanied by some Mud Monsters volunteers who had been previously trained by Sussex 4×4 Response, marshalled the car-park for this event.
The fact that the ground was cleared of public by late afternoon is a great testimony to the effort and skills of the team members who were present and able to work as a close-knit team to release some visitors.
